Have you ever wondered what it looks like to grow in understanding of the fear of the LORD? Or have you wondered what it looks like to grow in wisdom & the knowledge of God? Solomon in Proverbs 2:1-5 answers those questions by giving us six disciplines needed to 'understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God' (v5).

In Proverbs 1:20-33, we see wisdom as a street preacher. And the charge is simple...turn or burn. We see the gifts bestowed to those who turn, and we are depicted the destruction that will befall those who do not.

In Proverbs 1:8-19, Solomon recognizes that lives are to be lived with and impacted by people. Therefore, as he exclaims, it is important who we surround ourselves with and who we listen to. On today's episode, we will walk through those verses discerning whose voices we should (and should not) listen to.

Proverbs 1:7 is the MOST IMPORTANT verse in all of the book. It is absolutely crucial. On today's episode, we walk through that verse (Proverbs 1:7) and how it is the main principle for the entire book, showing us HOW we can possess the wisdom described in verses 1-6.
